Lamb of God is a faith community of people who are followers of Jesus.

We believe the words of the Apostle’s Creed are true:

I believe in God, the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth.

And in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died and was buried. He descended into hell. On the third day He rose again from the dead. He ascended into heaven and sits at the right hand of God the Father Almighty. From thence He will come to judge the living and the dead.

I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy Christian Church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. Amen.

Lamb of God is a Lutheran church, named after a 16th century monk, Martin Luther, who was excommunicated from the Roman Catholic church. He taught three “solas,” Latin for “alone.”

Grace alone: God loves the people of the world, even though we are sinful, fight against Him, and do not deserve His love.

Scripture Alone: The bible is God’s word, where He reveals His plan for saving humanity through the life, death and resurrection of His son, Jesus.

Faith Alone: God promises that Jesus’ suffering and death pays the penalty for all the bad things we have done and all the good things we have failed to do. Everyone who trusts God’s promise is restored to perfect relationship with Him. That relationship starts now and lasts forever.

Lamb of God is part of the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod.

Communion

We believe that in communion we receive the true body and blood of Jesus Christ with the bread and wine for the forgiveness of sins. If you are a baptized Christian who has been instructed in and agrees with our confession of faith, please feel free to commune with us. If you have any questions, please make an appointment to talk with a pastor. Communion is offered on the on the first and third Sundays of each month.

Baptism

We believe that through plain water and His words, God makes us new people in baptism. He claims us as His own and binds Himself to His promise. Any time a Christian doubts their own faith, they can look back at their baptism and remember that God always keeps His promises. Since we understand baptism as something God does, we believe it is appropriate to baptize both children and adults. If you would like to schedule a baptism, please contact the church office. Non-members are asked to meet with a pastor before the baptism takes place.
